HAMPTON, VIRGINIA September 26, 1890.
It is hereby certified that Louis West, late Company D, 54 Regiment Massachusetts Colored Volunteers, was admitted to this Home October 10, 1884.
In the Certificate of disability on which he was admitted it was stated that he had then Chronic malarial fever, Cough, and trouble with his lungs. Was enfeebled by his disease, and unable to support himself. He died in the Hospital of this Home August 9, 1887 from Consumption of the Lungs. I have no other knowledge of this case.
