He [Peter] married a daughter of the Rev. William Nicholson, of Hutton Cranswick, a parish in East Riding near Hull. One Margaret by name, and it were they who became the parents of the learned professor of Cambridge and the father of Judge Thomas Dent, of Maryland, Esq.

[Same author of this book and the earlier 1940 publication Charles county gentry... has now changed the father of Margaret from JOHN Nicholson, Minister of Hutton Cranswick to Rev. WILLIAM Nicholson of Hutton Cranswick?

If Margaret born about 1607 WAS (to date this is unproven) the daughter of the Minister of Hutton Cranswick, then he was JOHN NICHOLSON as stated in The Hutton Cranswick, Vicars transcription: The List of Incumbents for St. Peter's Church, Hutton Cranswick. [1]
