Biography
Esther Curtis daughter of Benjamin Curtis was bapt. 10 Feb 1706.[1]
She married twice: first to Daniel Beach. and second to Ebenezer Hickock.[1]
She died 25 Aug 1775 in her 70th year.[1] Her gravestone at Congregational Church Cemetery, Bethel, Fairfield County, Connecticut, reads: "Here lies buried the body of Mrs. Esther Hickok the virtuous and amiable consort of Capt. Ebenezer Hickok who departed this Life August 25th AD 1775 in the 70 Year of her Age." [2]
Her will is dated 5 August (?) in Danbury. She mentions her children, Agur Beach of Stratford, Anna, wife of Comfort Hoyt of Danbury, Daniel, and Benjamin. Hickok.[3]

Please explain the inconsistencies that you are talking about. These profiles are the same person, one is the first husband and the other is the second husband. She died in Danbury, not Bethel as the town was not incorporated until 1855 from Danbury. See her first husband, Daniel Beach’s will. Same children attached to the other Esther except he calls Anna by the name Hannah, but these names are nicknames to each other. Thanks for your help. -Karen
