The main support for this profile is evidently several largely unsourced family trees.^[1][2][3]

There was a William Clements married a Sarah in Digby (both age 30) around the right time, according to the 1871 census.^[4] But this couple is more likely William Clements (age 30) m. Sarah J Gavel (age 29), both of St. Mary's Bay. Married in Digby on May 9, 1869.^[5]
