Biography

Mary Anne Dyer, daughter of Mark Dyer and Marcy Dyer was born June 1, 1802^[1] in Maine.

At age 19, she married Theophilus Dyer (1796-1877) on September 1, 1821 in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. ^[2] They had at least 10 children.

They made their home in Cape Eliazabeth, Cumberland, Maine, In 1850, Theaophilas (age 53) a farmer and Mary Ann (age 49) a home maker, were in Cape Elizabeth, with Willis N-22, Evaline H-25, Sarah E-19, John W-17, Emmerson S-15, George S-13, Charles W-10 and William W-5 in the home. The older boys were farming also.^[3]

Her husband Theophilas passed away at age 80 in 1877.

She died at age 65, on August 26, 1887 and was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery inPortland, Cumberland, Maine.^[1]
