Biography
Sally Mattison, the daughter of Thomas Mattison and Lucy Mattison was born May 26, 1817 in Bennington, Vermont.[1][2]
She married Seth Dyer Spencer (1813-1851) on October 25, 1835 in Vermont. They had 2 children.
- Lucy 'Adelaide' Spencer (1836-1905)[3]
- Julia A Spencer (-1904)[4]
Her husband Seth Dyer passed away in 1851 at the age of 38. They had been married 16 years.
Sally Spencer married Curtis E. Woodard in Bennington, Vermont, on January 10, 1857, when she was 39 years old.[2] They had 2 children.
- Susan Woodard (1849-1860)
- George Curtis Woodward (1858-1923)
They lived in Shaftsbury, Benninton, Vermont in 1860, with Curtis (age 38) working as a Salesman. Their daughter Susan was 11 at this time and Son George was 2 years old.[5]
She died at age 76, on November 26, 1893 and was buried in the Grandview Cemetery in Shaftsbury, Bennington, Vermont.[6]

MARTINSON as last name was either a typo, transcription mistake or spelling error, as all the existing records show her last birth maiden name as MADISON-hence the correction. Ignore the Martinson name. Thanks!
