Jacques de Maillard died between 25 June 1555 when he was present for his son Miles' marriage and October 1556 when his oldest son Christophe was recognized as seigneur de la Haute Boissière en partie.[2]
Research Notes
In trying to find information on Jacques Maillard, there is a apparently more than one Champagne others of which have Maillard family in operation of. Difficult to discern whether it is the same Maillards as some of the dates seem later than the Jacques Maillard in question.
For example, In 1584, Jacques Maillard, son of Guillaume Maillard, had the full fief of Champaignes belonging to the barony of Acquigny. (A.-S.-I. Acquigny, 1584-1636.) [4]
