Biography
His parents were Michael Dawley & an unknown wife.
He emigrated from Ireland to America.
In 1660 there was a John DAWLEY who came to Massachusetts Colony. In the spring of 1678 he swore allegiance to the King in Lynn Massachusetts. He bought land in Kingstown, Rhode Island from dishonest settlers who gave him no valid title.
A Nicholas DAWLEY who was fined on 6 May 1678 in Newport, Rhode Island Colony for digging up an Indian grave.
About 1679 John married Sarah WOODIN=WOODEN & they had a son John DAWLEY, Jr. b=1688.
He was buried in Kingston, Rhode Island.
