Biography

There are two different Elizabeth Peckhams, each with a unique birthdate, listed in Rhode Island, Vital Extracts, 1636-1899 Vol. 05: Washington County: Births, Marriages, Deaths. One Elizabeth born in Nov. 9, 1792. The other one, daughter of Peleg and Desire Peckham, born in N. Kingsington on July 25, 1786.

Meanwhile, Find-a-Grave lists Elizabeth who married Isaac Scrivens as dying on 11 Mar 1872 at Verona, NY, and shows a tombstone of hers from the West Verona Cemetery, clearly showing Isaac S. Scriven's name on it, too. This record lists her Father as Lieut Braddock Peckham Sr and her Mother as Rebecca Peckham, and her birthplace in Charleston, RI. The listing says "Birth: Feb. 28, 1788, Charlestown, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA. Death: Mar. 11, 1872, Verona, Oneida County, New York, USA" From "The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 28, No 15, p 59, Apr. 4, 1872. In Verona, N. Y., March 11th, 1872, Mrs. Elizabeth Scriven, relict of the late Isaac S. The US Census of 1870 lists Elizabeth Scriven as 82 and being born in Rhode Island (like her husband, Isaac) FamilySearch.org profile.
