General Watkins was born in Appalachia, in Alabama.

General Pickney Watkins was the son of Green Berry Watkins and Sarah Tidmore.

He married Sarah Caroline Siniard on January 12, 1860 in DeKalb County, Alabama. [1]

He died August 9, 1909, near the city of Mansfield in Scott County Arkansas
