Biography

When James was about 26 he married Florence Bell in about 1837. The couple had 6 children: Alfred Hanon Bigham, Ann Elizabeth Bigham, Sarah Caroline Bigham, Martha Joan Bigham, William Paris Bigham and Mary Jane Bigham.

In the 1850 census James (age 39) was in Itawamba, Mississippi, United States.[1]

In the 1860 census James (age 50) was in Pontotoc, Mississippi, United States.[2]

James was mentioned on a memorial in Salem Associate Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery, Salem, Tipton County, Tennessee, USA with a death date of 31 May 1862.[3]
