Eleanor (living 07 Mar 1336), is the daughter of William de Felton.[1] She married Alexander de Hilton, 2nd Baron Hilton (d. 1361) and probably died before 1351, since he was already married to his last wife Maud Emeldon (d. 08 Sep 1369), in or before that year.[2]
Her grandson William Hilton (b. 1356), was found to be one of her brother's heirs during his post-mortem inquisition on 12 July 1368.[3]

Eleanor Felton is the mother of Robert Hilton. Her grandson is William Hilton, (Chapman, 1938, p. 177).[2]
↑ For Rbt's DOB see: : Richardson, M.A. (1846). The Local Historian's Table Book, III, pp. 243. Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Google Books. Note that Richardson (1846), makes the same error as A History of Northumberland, by asserting that Maud Emeldon was Rbt' mother.
Robert is the father of William Hilton (b. abt. 1356), age 11 in 1367, (Chapman, 1938, p. 177).[3]
↑Note that the Emeldon pedigree in A History of Northumberland, incorrectly asserts that Maud Emeldon is the mother of Robert.[4] Maud's only child was Elizabeth (Acton) Widdrington, by her first husband, Richard de Acton (d. 1342).[5]

Dendy, F.W. (1904). An account of Jesmond. Archaeologia Aeliana, 1(3), pp. 79. Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Google Books. Eleanor is called "Alice Felton," in Dendy's pedigree.[6] CP:IV, simply calls Alexander Hilton's first wife, "Alice," and states that she was living 07 Mar 1336.[7] Wm. de Felton's pm. inq. names an Alice de Felton, but it clearly states that Eleanor de Felton was a member of the Hilton family ... while Alice was the wife of Robert Delaval.[8]
