Will

In her will, dated 12 October 1478, proved 31 December 1478, she was styled Domina Johanna Ingleby, relicta Willelmi Ingleby, militis, or Lady Joan Ingleby, widow of Sir William Ingleby, Knt. She asked to be buried in the monastery or priory house in Yorkshire Diocese, commonly called Mount Grace, and mentions:^[2]

1. her daughter Elena Constable, the late wife of John Constable of Halsham, knight, and Elena's daughters:
   1. Anna Constable,
   2. Isabella Constable, and
   3. Elena Thwaites;
2. her sister Katerinae, to whom she left properties in Hoton-Wandeslay, Kyllinghall, Spuristy, Maunbey-super-Swale, Kyrkby-super-Wiske, and Skelton juxta Ebor. ^[4]
