Lydia Farnsworth was born in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts September 26, 1706. She was the daughter of Benjamin Farnsworth and Mary Prescott Farnsworth,^{[1] [2]}

She was married in Groton December 19, 1725 to Thomas Tarbell, son of Thomas Tarbell and Elizabeth Woods Tarbell.^{[1] [3]}

Lydia died November 11, 1778 in Groton, She is buried in The Old Burying Ground, in Groton^[1][2][4][5]
