Jean Emard and Marie Bineau had 3 sons who were given the name Jean, none of whom appear to have survived childhood. They were:
Jean baptized 24 November 1622; probably the young child of Jean Emard who was buried 14 July 1623. Of the other known children only the oldest daughter Marie who would have been 6 years old would be the alternative.
Jean baptized 2 February 1629; probably deceased before his younger brother received the same name in 1631.
Jean baptized 29 March 1631; fate is unknown but not mentioned among his siblings on the 1641 marriage contract of his sister Françoise.
Additionally a daughter named Jeanne was baptized 3 August 1625; probably deceased before her mother's 1632 remarriage as she was not mentioned among the children in the marriage contract.
