John was born on December 5, 1700.^[1]

Probate

John Fay Jr., of Westborough, husbandman died intestate and on 12 December 1732, his widow Hannah was granted the administration of his estate. His inventory was taken on 28 January 1732/33 in Westborough.^[2]

In 1733, an account of his estate by his widow Hannah was recorded which included the sale of the estate, doctor, digging grave, livestock lost, debts paid, taking care of the children, and administration fees.^[3] In 1734, his estate was divided 1/3 to the widow and 2/3 to the children (no names are mentioned).^[4]

In 1738, his widow Hannah, now wife of Samuel Lyscom, had paid the children's guardian their share of their father's estate.^[5]

In 1740, his father, John Fay, recorded an account of the guardianship of his five children.^[6]

In 1746, his estate was set out to his widow, Hannah, now wife of Samuel Lyscom, the remaining could not be divided without spoiling the whole, so it was settled upon his sons, Jonathan Fay (eldest son), Jedediah Fay, and Josiah Fay who agreed to pay the other heirs their share, viz., Elizabeth, wife of John Roberts, and Hannah Fay.^[7]
