This is a strange dish-mash of total rubbish! Margaret Campbell formerly MacLeod was born Margaret McKenzie, daughter of Sir John Mackenzie Bt. of Tarbat; she married 1. Roderick McLeod of that Ilk and 2. Sir James Campbell of Lawers, after the death of her first husband.
So at least states The Kingdom in Scotland, Burke’s Landed Gentry of Great Britain, Peter Beauclerk Dewar, Burke’s Peerage and Gentry LLC, Wilmington, USA, 2001.
She was therefore neither the daughter of John McLeod, nor the sister of Roderick Macleod, Marion MacLeod, Sibella (MacLeod) Fraser, Giles MacLeod, John MacLeod, Mary MacLeod and Anne (Fraser) Fraser of Lovat [half]
