Biography
Samuel Tarbell, son of Thomas Tarbell and Elizabeth Woods, was born in Groton, Massachusetts on 7 or 14 October 1697.[1][2][3]
He was married on 29 December 1725 to Lydia Farnsworth, daughter of Benjamin Farnsworth and Mary Prescott.[1] They had children:
- Lydia, b. 9 Oct 1727, d. before 1761, married Henry Farwell[1]
- Anna, born 12 Nov 1729, died 10 Mar 1805, married first to Moses Haskell, second to Peter Edes[1]
- Sybil, b. 16 Jan 1732/3, d. 18 Jun 1736, m. Jonathan Moors and had issue[1]
- Deborah, b. 18 Nov 1734, m. George Pierce[1]
- Martha, b. 2 Oct 1736, m. Edward Phelps and had issue[1]
- Sarah, b. 15 May 1740, d. 17 Aug 1787, m. Joseph Boynton[1]
- Samuel, b. 4 Apr 1746[1]
- Eunice, b. 6 Jul 1753, d. before 1777[1]
Samuel died in Groton on 23 May 1776. His wife died testate 11 Nov 1778.[1]
