Joan Haute was the daughter of Sir William Haute of Shelvingbourne, Kent, and his wife Joan Wydeville Haute. She was first cousin to Queen Elizabeth Wydeville, wife of Edward IV.
She married Sir George Darell of Littlecote Manor before 1465.[1]

John Stone of Salisbury, Richard Chapelyn and Thomas Modell were seised in fee of the under-mentioned manor, and granted it by charter to the said George and Joan, then his wife, and the heirs of the said George. George and Joan were seised thereof accordingly, he in fee and she in her demesne as of free tenement; and he died so seised. She survived him, and was sole seised of the manor as above.
She died 10 September last. Edward Darell, knight, aged 28 years and more, is her son and heir.
Dorset. Manor of Easyepe, worth 8l., held of the abbot of Serne, in right his church, services unknown.
