Casey B Tyler noted in the 'Historical Reminiscenes of Foster' ^[4]: "Waity Ann Foster, the only daughter of John and Polly Foster, was born at Foster, August 5th, 1815, and went with her parents in 1826, to the Shakers, and lived with them until 1836, when she returned to Foster and married James E Tyler, of Foster, son of John Tyler, on July 21, 1839. She is the mother of George K. Tyler, the efficient bookkeeper at Pontiac, and of Albert Tyler, who for many years was the highly esteemed station agent at Centreville, and express agent, and also the mother of Nabby E. Tyler, the accomplished school teacher at Cranston, R.I. Waity Ann Tyler died at Foster, February 1st, 1869, and is buried with her husband in Moosup Valley Cemetery."
