Jane Best, daughter of James and Elizabeth, was baptised 10 Jan 1821 in Melcombe Regis, Dorset, England. ^[1]

The Best family emigrated to South Australia on the Rajasthan, arriving on 9 Mar 1840. ^[2]

Jane passed away age 67 in 1887. ^[3]

WARD. On the 29th March, at Yatala House, Jane, the beloved wife of Hansford Ward, aged 67 years. Arrived per ship Rajahstan, in the year 1840. ^[4]
