He was served heir to his father 20 Aug 1652 and again 5 Mar 1657/8. He had a pass from the Parliament to go to foreign parts, 16 April 1652 (Complete Peerage XVII pt. 2, p. 638). Where did he go? Is this possibly the John who was claimed as a headright by Joseph Croshaw 8 Nov 1653?[4]
