He was a vocational-agriculture teacher. His residence, at the time of his death was in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia, United States. He died at the Respiratory Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.[2] His burial was at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, Hopkins County, Kentucky. [3]
