Biography

Dorothy Widdrington was the daughter of:

  • Sir John Widdrington of Widdrington.[1]
  • Agnes, dau. of James Metcalfe of Nappa, Wensleydale, Yorkshire.[2]

Marriage

She married twice.[3]

Fenwick

She married her first husband Roger Fenwick of Wallington (d. bef. 1553), sometime before 1550. [4] He was young when he died before 1553. In that year, she and her second husband Robert Constable, were pardoned for treason. Constable was also living in Wallington at that time. He went on to spy for the crown in 1569.[5]
