Fredrick was born on 30 October 1825 in Westminster, Massachusetts. He was the son of Edmund Nichols and Mary Derby.[1]
In 1850, Frederick is living with his sister Mary and her husband James Clark in Westminster, Massachusetts.[2]
Frederick's sister Mary died in 1858. In 1860, he and several siblings are living with the widower James Clark in Westminster.[3] Frederick is also living with James Clark in 1870.[4]
Frederick served during the Civil War. He enlisted as a private in Company B, 15th Regiment on 12 July 1861, and was mustered out on 28 July 1864.[5]
On 17 December 1873, 48 year old Frederick married 32 year old Aurelia Bemis, widow of Russell Fisher, in Westminster.[6]
In the 1880 census Fredrick (age 54) was living in Westminster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[7]
