Thomas Luttrell was the 2nd son of Sir Andrew Luttrell of Dunster Castle by Margaret, daughter of Sir Thomas Wyndham of Felbrigg, North Norfolk District, Norfolk, England. He married Margaret, daughter of Christopher Hadley of Withycombe, Sommerst, England. Three sons include George and John; four daughters, succeeded father to Marshwood 1538, brother, Sir John Luttrell to Dunster Castle, Somerset in 1551.
