In the sources below I have added a document called “DESCENDANCY of WILLIAM SHORT (b c1613) and ELIZABETH SYMONS”. The page numbers are a little different (1-1, 1-2, 1-3, … 1-10, 1-11, etc). Thomas Stegall (1609) appears on page 1-10, about half-way down that page, under the heading: “Some Information about the STEGALL family”. It only lists the ancestry of Susanna Short (their particular relative) that married John Stegall, born 7 Jul 1758. The author even states that this information may not be correct but I wanted to list this source in case it is helpful to someone else. -NLD
