Mary D. Casler^[1] was born in 1851 in Herkimer county, New York. Shaver says Matthew House married Nancy Casler, but the state census shows him living in the Casler household in 1875 married to Mary D. House. Matthew died in 1880 and and on February 15, 1888 Mary House Casler married Charles C. Blanchard at Gaines, Genesee, Michigan.
