Biography
Archibald (Campbell) Campbell IIIrd of Auchinbreck is a member of Clan Campbell.
Archibald was the son of Dugald Campbell and Agnes Lamont.[1][2][3]
He married firstly, Margaret, daughter of Campbell of Ardkinglass.[1][2] They had issue:
- Dugald, his heir[1][2]
- Duncan, of Castleswene, who succeeded his brother[1][2]
- Donald, of Kilmone[1][2]
- Archibald, of Danna[1][2]
- a daughter, m. Lachlan McLean of Dowart[1][2]
He married secondly, Catherine Campbell.[4]
Archibald died at the end of the reign of James V (1542).[1][2]
