Virginia Muncy was born in 1848 in Fayette, Virginia, United States, daughter of William Muncy (1787– ) and UNKNOWN Cinna (1802– ).
Virginia (14) married Nathanial Haelman (21) (born in 1841 in Ohio) in 1863 in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
Virginia is listed with William and Cena Muncy on the 1850 Census[1] in Fayetteville, Fayette, Virginia. On the 1860 Census[2] she is listed with her parents in Kanawha County, Virginia (which would later become West Virginia).
She is not the same Virginia that married into the Haelman/Helman family in 1863. That Virginia is the daughter of James Britt Muncy and Mary Ann Sturgill.
This Virginia aka Jennie, is listed with her widowed mother on both: the 1870 Census in Glen Ferris, Fayette, West Virginia[3] and on the 1880 Census in the Kanawha District of Fayette, West Virginia.[4]
More research is needed; but at this time no record has been found to indicate that she was ever married and a record of death is needed.
