Biography
In his will, dated May 28, 1862, and filed of record in Smith County, Tennessee, Abel Hunt directed that after his death his property be sold, with the proceeds of the sale be put at interest and used to support his wife Elizabeth comfortably for the rest of her natural life; and that after the death of his wife, any proceeds remaining be divided among his children. (He did not set out the names of his children in the will.) He appoints his son Daniel his executor. [1]
