Biography
Sybil J Faulkner was born about 1916 to Robert L and Allie J Faulkner. In 1920 the Faulkner family was living on Willard Street in Muldrow, Oklahoma. In addition to parents Robert and Allie, children were Violet M (11), Perry W (8), Sybil J (4) and Noriose (1). [1]
In 1940, 24 year old Sybil is shown as married to Leslie Torbett. The couple are living in Calexico, California and have one child, Leslie, age 3. Leslie shows as employed as a tractor driver. Leslie's 1935 residence is given as Calexico while Sybil's is rural Sequoyah, Oklahoma indicating they likely married sometime between 1935 and 1940.[2] Sybill died in 2015 at the age of 100 and was buried at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, California.[3]
