Dorothy Goldklang, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Timberlake Care Center. Services were held Friday, Feb. 27, in the Yukon Chapel at Mount Carmel Cemetery, with burial following. The family suggests contributions to Congregation Beth Shalom. Mrs. Goldklang worked for more than 20 years as a senior secretary in the UMKC admissions office, from 1966 until her retirement in the mid-1980s. She was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and its Sisterhood and had volunteered there for many years. Mrs. Goldklang was born in Kansas City, Mo., and was a lifelong area resident. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Selma (Cohn) Lipsky; her husband of 46 years, Morris Goldklang; and her sister, Blanche Blumenthal. Mrs. Goldklang is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan L. and Ronald Yaffe, Kansas City, Mo., Sherry and Steve Blackman, Overland Park, and Lori Sims, Camdenton, Mo.; grandchildren, Michael Blackman and his wife Cecily, Holly Thompson and her husband Brandon, Spencer Sims and Brooke Sims; great-grandchildren, Aubree Blackman, Katie Thompson and Ethan Thompson; and brother and sister-in-law, Eugene C. and Marjorie Lipsky, Prairie Village.
