Biography

Shubael Cottrell was born at Islesboro, Maine, 1776, ^[1] or c1779 (gravestone, "Æ 73"), the son of Sylvester Cottrell and Margaret Pendleton; died at Northport, Maine, 23 Oct 1852, aged 76y [sic], ^[1] and is buried in the East Northport Cemetery. ^{[2] [3]}

He married (1) Mary "Polly" Young; married (2) Betsey Catlin. ^[1]
