Charles was born in 1857 in Maidstone, Kent. He was the son of John Thomas Bromley and Ann Maria.[1]
On 1 December 1879 Charles (age about 22) was living at 1 Park Place, Gravesend, Kent.
When Charles was about 22 he married Frances Anne Nottingham on 1 December 1879 in Sacred Heart of Jesus, Islington, Eng. The couple had 3 children: Elizabeth Anne Bromley, Lilly Edith Bromley and Madeleine Maud Bromley.[2]
On an unknown date Charles was employed as a Tea Dealer.
