4. In 1933 she married John Wesley Colvin. ^[2] John was a widower with several children.

Sep.13,1968-Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Colvin, 86, who died Friday night in Cross County Hospital, Wynne, were held Sunday in Stevens Funeral Home. Rev .L.M. Frederick conducted the services with burial in Bell cemetery, north of Palestine.

Mrs. Colvin was born Mar.30,1882, in Choctaw Co. Miss. She lived in Palestine and Forrest City before moving to Parkin about ten years ago. A Baptist, she married Riley Crowder in 1900, and he died in 1915. She later married John W. Colvin, who died in 1934. Mrs. Colvin is survived by two sons, Oscar Crowder of Round Lake, Illinnois, and George Crowder of Parkin; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Coleman of Searcy; a sister, Mrs. Kate Lisenbee of Memphis; three stepsons, Augustus and Lawrence Colvin of Forrest City, and William Colvin of Palestine; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Bertha Hightower, Mrs. Velvy Melton, and Mrs. Pearl Barber, all of Palestine, Mrs. Birgia Snelson of Forrest City, and Mrs. Elzoria Steele of W. Memphis; 31 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
