Biography
Joshua Varannes Walton was born at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 27 May 1808, the son of Ephraim Walton and Abigail (French) Walton.[1]
He married Elizabeth W "Betsey" Richardson at Jay, Maine on 17 Apr 1838; they were the parents of ten known children. Joshua was a farmer in Jay, Maine.
Joshua V, Walton is buried at the Jay Hill Cemetery in Jay, Maine, where his gravestone gives his birth date as 27 May 1808 and his death date 20 Jan 1890.[2]
