Biography

Salomon Andrew Girouard was born on 22 Oct 1881 in Spencer, Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the son of Isidore Girouard and his wife Marie Ledoux. Salomon became a priest, serving several parishes in his lifetime, including Saint Ann parish in Murry, Rusk, Wisconsin. In 1930, Salomon lived in Dewey, Rusk, Wisconsin with his uncle, David Girouard. Salomon died at age 85 on 22 Jan 1967 in San Jose, California; he was buried in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.

OBITUARY: GIROUARD, Rev. Salomon A. — In San Jose, Calif., Jan. 22, 1967. Rev. Salomon A. Girouard, a native of Spencer, Mass., aged. 85. The remains will lie in state at St. Martin's Church, 200 O'Connor Drive from 3 p.m. Tuesday. Solemn Requiem High Mass at St. Martin's Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Entombment, Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary on Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at St. Martin's Church. Friends may call at the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 900 So. 2nd St, until 2 pp.m. Tuesday.
