Biography

This profile originally called him Unknown Allen.

There's a good chance that he's the Christian Allen who with wife Susan Bethel is on records of several children in the right place (Virginia) and time frame.

• Jones C Allen, b 24 Nov 1835; d single 30 Apr 1911 Richmond, VA^[1]
• Nannie Allen, b 1837; d single 29 Mar 1909 Richmond, VA.^[2]
• Thomas A Allen, b 10 Feb 1841; d 17 Jul 1912 Richmond, VA^[3] Single.^[4]

This family unit with several other children, are enumerated in Henrico Co., Virginia, in 1850.^[5]

It appears Christian died by 1860 when Susan R is head of household with same set of children.^[6]

Most of the family (minus Georgette) was still intact with son Jones Allen as head of household in 1870.^[7]

Georgette, now going by Georgia, married Joseph S Hill and died in 1923.^[8]

Susan was head of household in 1880.^[9]
