Susannah Hays, daughter of William John Hays II (1805 - 1892) and Letitia Ann Morrow (1818 - 1866), was born on 5 January 1845 in Ireland.[1]
Susannah married David W. Morrow (1826 - 1898) on 12 June 1866 in Red Bank, Pennsylvania. Witnesses to marriage were William Hays, Harry Buchannan, and John Craig- Justice of the Peace.

In 1900 Susannah (age about 54) was living in Madison Township, Armstrong, Pennsylvania. She was widowed and living with son David, daughters Eily C (Emily C), Fannie I, Margaret L, and son John F. Also in household were James Hooks, Brady Hooks & Harry Gould as boarders. She was listed as having had nine children, eight living in 1900.[2]
Susannah lived with daughters Margaret and Emily before her death.[3] She died at the age of 68 on 16 December 1913. The death certificate was completed by her daughter Fannie Hooks. Cause of death is listed as pneumonia with a duration of 6 days. She died at 6:15 am.[4] She was buried on 19 December 1919 in St Mary's Episcopal Cemetery, Madison Township, Red Bank, Armstrong, Pennsylvania, in row 8.[5]
