She has two brothers, Allen and Kayo Saarela, both of Fairport Harbor. She retired from Higbee's where she had worked for six years. In her spare time she enjoys sewing and reading. Pohto is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Pohto. Born in Fairport Harbor, he has three brothers, Herb, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Joel, Painesville, and Merton, Painesville. Four brothers, Jack, Ben, Caleb and John, are deceased. He also has sisters, Elna Makee, Painesville Township, Ann Laczko, East Cleveland, and Lyne Lumme, Cleveland. A graduate of Fairport Harding High School, he attended the University of Cincinnati for one year. He was employed at the Diamond Shamrock for 42 years.
