Biography

Benjamin Jones was baptized on 27 Oct 1666 in Hingham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of Robert Janes and Elizabeth.[1]

He married “by 1694” to Patience Unknown in Hingham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2]

He died 29 Jan 1703/4 in Hingham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[3]

In his will, proved 2 March, 1703-4, he provides for wife Patience, and leaves legacies to sons Benjamin and Thomas. He also refers to his mother Elizabeth Jones, and to his late father Robert Jones, and directs that any portion of their estate which may fall to him, be divided between his wife and children. Witnesses, Samuel Eells, Joseph Easterbrook, Stephen Andrews, John Leavitt.[4]

In 1720, his two sons are mentioned in his brother, John Jones' will.[5]
