Elizabeth Merkle married Balthasar Merkle (son of Jörg Merklin and Eva) on July 2, 1683 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; born 1660 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany. In 1717 they emigrated to America with three children.[1]

(i) Anna Barbara Merkle, born June 17, 1687 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; died March 8, 1721 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; married Johann Peter Kauffman September 6, 1707 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany. Child: Anna Eva Christina Kauffman.
(ii) Hans Lorentz Merkle, born in Jan 1690 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; died in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany.
(iii) Johann Adam Merkle, born August 9, 1692 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; died September 4, 1746 in Bonfeld, Württemberg, Germany; married Maria Elizabeth.
(iv) Maria Catharine Merkle, born May 4, 1695; emigrated 1717 to America at age 22.
(v) Hans Jerg Merkle, born February 1, 1697; emigrated 1717 to America at age 20.
(vi) Maria Elizabetha Merkle, born June 9, 1703; emigrated 1717 to America at age 14; married Hannes Hens. Child: Maria Christina Hens.
