Biography
Jan was born in Eext, Anloo, Drenthe, Netherlands on November 28, 1784. He was the son of Berent Jans Seggers and Roelfje Geerts.[1]
Jan married Rendelina Harmens (widow, residing in Vries) on April 21, 1811 in Vries.[2] She passed away in 1819. They had 2 children:
- Roelofje Seggers, born on February 10, 1812 in Vries
- Berend Seggers, born on February 24, 1814 in Taarlo
He married Henderkien Jans (born on March 14, 1792 in Roden, residing in Zuidlaren, dienstmaagd) on August 7, 1819 in Anloo.[3] They had 6 children:
- Jannes Seggers, born on December 17, 1820 in Anloo
- Annigchien Seggers, born on February 13, 1823 in Gieten
- Harm Seggers, born on September 18, 1825 in Gieten, died on February 9, 1830
- Manna Seggers, born on January 30, 1829 in Gieten
- Harm Seggers, born on February 7, 1832 in Gieten
- Hendrikje Seggers, born on September 6, 1834 in Gieten, died on June 8, 1835
He passed away on December 3, 1855 in Groningen.[4]
