N3001Henry A. Landes� 87� a longtime resident of Harleysville� died June 12� 2006 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia� where he was a patient for 10 days. He was the husband of Anna (Derstine) Landes� with whom he recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. Born in Mainland� he was the son of the late Isaiah T. and Susan (Alderfer) Landes.Mr. Landes was the second generation owner of I.T. Landes & Son in Harleysville� a plumbing� heating� air conditioning and fuel oil company. He retired at the age of 79.Deer hunting was a lifelong passion of his� especially at his mountain cabin in Wyoming County.He was a dedicated member of Salford Mennonite Church in Harleysville� where he taught Sunday school.Mr. Landes was a board member of Peter Becker Community in Harleysville. At age 60� he began golfing with his wife. His family stated he will be remembered for his generous spirit and as a beloved grandfather who daily held his family in prayer.
