Biography

Andrew Carrier was born on 8 Dec 1769 at Colchester, New London, Connecticut, the son on Samuel and Rebecca Carrier.^{[1][2] [3]} He was baptized on 11 Feb 1770 at Middletown, Connecticut.^[4]

Andrew married twice. First, he married Phebe Wickware/Wickwire at East Haddam on 24 Feb 1792.^[5][2] The marriage took place at the Second Congregational Church of East Haddam, Millington Society,^[4] and she was the daughter of James Wickwire and Mary Grant.^[3] Phoebe died at the age of 45 on 4 Nov 1812. He is buried at the Ponemah Cemetery in Colchester.^[6] Andrew and Phebe had one child:

Andrew's second wife was "Anne Gellett." They were married on 22 March 1814.^[2] Anna Gillette Carrieron 14 June 1872 at the age of 91.^[6] Andrew and Anna had at least the following children: ^[3]

He died on 15 Feb 1847^[7] The Hartford Times for 20 Mar 1847 says that he died at West Chester, Connecticut, at the age of 77.^[8] He is buried at the Ponemah Cemetery, Colchester, New London, Connecticut.^[6][9] You can see a picture of his gravestone at FindAGrave.
