Granby historical has many Holcomb items. He hung himself. His body was moved to the Holcomb cemetery in east granby
Brother of Colonel Richard Erskine Holcomb who is buried in East Granby in the Holcomb family plot. He wrote about missing his brother Thomas in letters home.
His daughter, Mary Barber Holcomb Loomis donated trunks of Richard Holcomb war memorabilia to the Granby historic Society.
