Name
- Name: Herbert Lionel Dimler
1. Born in Alcoa, Tennessee Lived in Alaska with his parents until 1945. 2. His parents moved to Sells, Pima, Arizona. He went to the Grade school in the Sells Public school on the Papago Indian Reservation. Member of the Boy Scouts. His parents were teachers for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 14 years. 3. Lionel attended Tucson High School. While in school there he was in the band and played a Calinet. 4. After graduating from Tucson High Lionel Attended the University of Arizona majoring in Education. Belonged to the Band and ROTC program. 5. After Graduating from the University of Arizona he received a commision in the United States Air Force as a 2nd LT in 1958. 6. On March 3, 1959 died as a result of an aircraft accident three miles south of Dundee Flordia.

Marvin Dimler who was Allen Dimlers son while he was stationed in Memphis Tenn. was approached by a piolet stationed there who who knew a piolet who was killed in a airplane at Bartow Air Force Base. He told Marvin that Lionel lost his life because of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

When I graduated from grade school in Sells Arizona my brother Lionel had just graduated from the University of Arizona. The ROTC program paid for Pilots training at the Tucson Air Port. He came to Sells and picked me up and took me for a Air Plane ride for a graduation present.

One day my brother Lionel was riding bicycles with a Indian friend of his. While leaving the Goverment compound they had to cross a cattle guard. He rode is bike across the cattle guard but for some reason the Indian friend tried to turn around on the cattle guard. the front tire dropped down into the cattle guard and threw the boy to the ground and bending his front tire rim in half.
