Birth: Aug. 25, 1841 Sullivan County, New York Death: Oct. 24, 1926 Cuddebackville, Orange County, New York

Mrs. Annette A. Case, widow of John R. Case, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stoddard Gordon, at Cuddebackville, at the age of 85 years.

She was born near Wurtsboro, known that time as Gumaer District, August 25, 1841, the daughter of Henry and Rachael Barker Benedict.

On December 29, 1864, she was married to John R. Case at Port Jervis, by the Rev. S. W. Mills, then pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church there.

Mrs. Case was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church at Cuddebackville and at the time of her uniting with the church, Rev. Henry Morris was pastor.

She leaves two children, Wesley Case, of Middletown, and Martha, wife of Stoddard Gordon, of Cuddebackville; also the following grandchildren: Miss Mildred Case of Middletown; Clifford R., Annette M. and J. Irving Gordon, of Cuddebackville; also a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her daughter's home in Cuddebackville. Rev. Mr. Bonnyman of Port Jervis will officiate. Interment will be in Cuddebackville. --Middletown (NY) Daily Times-Press, Monday, October 25, 1926, page 3


Funeral services for Mrs. Annette A. Case, widow of John R. Case were held this afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stoddard Gordon in Cuddebackville. Rev. R. Bonnyman, of Port Jervis, officiated. Neighbors acted as pall bearers. Interment was in the Cuddebackville Cemetery.

The pall bearers were Joseph Lewis, Abram Hoag, Jacob Lang, George Baker, James Mitchell, Peter Conkling. --Middletown (NY) Daily Times-Press, Wednesday, October 27, 1926, page 3
