Biography

Early Life

Eulalia was born about 1838 in Putnam, New York; this is presumed to be Putnam, Washington County, as she resided there in 1855.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]} Her parents were William Hobart and Elizabeth Unknown.^[1][2] In 1850 and 1855 she lived with her parents and her four siblings in Putnam.^[1][2]

Marriage and Family

Eulalia married Firman Read.^{[citation needed]} They had the following six children:

2. William H Read^[8]
3. Alabaster Read^[9]
4. Zada E Read^[10]
5. Narcissa C Read^[11]
6. Mortimer A Read^[12]

In 1870 Firman and Eulalia lived in Saranac, New York, with their six children and Firman's parents.^[3] In 1880 they lived in the same town with their six children.^[4]

Death and Burial

Eulalia passed away on 19 September 1915 in Saranac.^[13][6] She was buried at Peasleeville Cemetery in Peasleeville, New York, in a plot that she shares with her husband.^[6]
